Apple HQ Office Extension, Cork
Apple Operations Europe Limited who have been headquartered for over 40 years in Co. Cork are currently expanding their operations with the construction of a four-storey office block adjacent to its existing premises at Hollyhill Industrial Estate.
The new four-storey building could accommodate up to 1,300 extra workers. Apple has operated on the north side of Cork city since the 1980s and currently employs 6,000 people at offices in Hollyhill, Lavitt's Quay and Horgan's Quay.
Through our sister company Contech, we have manufactured and supplied large column formers to the sub-contractor and Contech SSA have supplied both static and retractable loading platforms to the main contractor.

The columns required for this project were quite large with diameters of 400mm, 450mm and 550mm and a total height of 4m. As we can manufacture the forms to specific dimensions, there are no horizontal joints which would detract from the smooth fair faced finish that these column formers deliver.
